Microneedling

It corresponds to the use of a roller with at its end a wheel made up of several dozen needles measuring from 0.5 to more than 2 mm. This technique used until now to fight against the effects of skin aging and the treatment of scars on the face, neckline or hands, is now also recognized its effect against premature hair loss, in androgenetic alopecia, telogen effluvium and localized hair loss (alopecia areata).

A minimally invasive technique

Microneedling will create micro-incisions, in the most superficial layers of the scalp, having the effect of stimulating the skin structure (epidermis and papillary dermis) by acting on several components:

1- strengthening of local vascularization

2- increase in collagen synthesis by stimulation of fibroblasts

3- Stimulate hair follicle stem cells for better hair regrowth

This technique is sometimes used in combination with conventional treatments for hair loss, such as Minoxidil, mesotherapy, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) or topical corticosteroids depending on the origin of the baldness.
