We approach each patient with methodology, obtaining a detailed medical history and performing an in-depth scalp examination. This helps to determine the cause of excessive hair loss and offer you the most effective treatment.
The clinical examination uses scalp dermoscopy, checks for scars, inflammation, scales, measures hair density and measures the ratio of full-sized to miniaturized hair, which helps to detect the earliest signs of hair loss.
The medical evaluation is also an opportunity to have an overview of the quality of the hair : anagen or telogen effluvium; localized or diffuse alopecia.
An additional evaluation may be requested (in particular for alopecia occurring in women before menopause).
This consultation allows us to determine the cause of the excessive hair loss and thus guide the treatment.

Treatments
